Wow. Time flies! I'm 22 weeks today, and I think I'm finally starting to kick the all-day sickness! In the last 12 days, I've only been sick 2 days (unless you count when I got sick while cleaning up dog puke, ugh), which is WONDERFUL!
M had her first sinus infection (hope she doesn't take after her momma with those!) and pink eye last Thursday. It changed our plans for the weekend and I missed a day of work, but we survived! She's such a champ about taking her medicine, even the eye drops. We're supposed to go to Small Animal Day at MSU tomorrow and M is beyond excited! She LOVES animals, so it should be a good time. We're still not sure what we're going to do about preschool for her, but I think we're leaning towards waiting a year. I don't mean this in the braggy way that it sounds, but I just don't know how much of a challenge preschool would be for her. She can identify her letters and she has started sounding out what letter different words start with. She knows opposites, all of her shapes, and rhyming words. She talks like a 5 year old. She understands concepts like "bigger" and "smaller", among other things. I just don't want her to be bored with school!
We have a lot to get done with our house before this peanut is born, so we've been busy working on that. We're moving M to the "computer room" and putting this peanut in M's room. That means we have to find something to do with the computer, treadmill, T.V. and other things that are currently in the computer room. My goal is to work a minimum of 1/2 hour a night on the house. So far we've done pretty good! We're also hoping to finish our basement to add extra room (and another bathroom!). We talked to someone last night about waterproofing and installing an egress window. If we decide to go with this company, we should be able to get moving on that, too!
In 2 weeks I will be in Vegas for my sister's wedding! Crazy! Her wedding is Saturday 5/5, but I'll be going from Thursday-Sunday. It will be so hard to be away from M (and Joe!) for that long...but I'll have fun, I'm sure. We'll see how it all goes on the home-front, hahaha! I'm bummed that I'll miss M's first basketball "practice," but I know she'll have a ton of fun with her Daddy! =)
