(Ok- I started this post in December, then tried to finish it in early Jan, but here we are almost to Feb and I'm just getting it finished!)
Man, time sure flies! I honestly can not believe it's almost 2013! Yikes!
Life has been BUSY.
Life has been going pretty smoothly. Katelyn is now 4.5 months old (now 5.5 months old!), and changing every day! On Christmas Eve she started rolling from her back to her front. On New Years eve she learned to roll the other way! Pretty awesome! She had her 4 month appointment on 12/20. The Dr. said she looks good. She's 24.5 inches (50th %) and 13lbs 3oz (25th %). The heart murmur is still there, although the Dr. isn't worried. She mentioned that she doesn't show any other "symptoms" that would indicate a problem, such as wheezing while eating, turning blue around the mouth, and slow weight gain. Of course- I'm trying to believe what she says, but I worry because Katelyn has dropped from the 50th % to 25th % in weight in the last 2 months. Ugh. I will be so glad when April is here and she can have her Echo done.
Maddy is doing awesome. She's definitely 3 (I'm sure most parents would agree- the "terrible twos" are nothing compared to the "terrible threes") and we've had our challenges with her, but she's also SO FUN! Her little brain amazes me. She's really interested in words/letters/spelling right now. She's been practicing her writing and always wants us to spell things for her. We've been working on finding an outlet for all of her energy, so we've taken her to McDonald's to play a few times, and will hopefully be outside more now that it's snowy. She started a Creative Movement/Dance class at the Y a few weeks ago. It is by far the best class she's had yet! She listens so well, and really seems to enjoy it! Her buddy Lilah is in class with her, so I think that helps!
November and December were very busy for us! We went to Silver Bells in the City (and saw an AWESOME light parade and fireworks!), had a great Thanksgiving with both of our families, and made it to 2 Christmas parties.
Now that January is here (and now that it's almost over- haha!) we're back to the daily grind.
