We took both girls to the doctor for their physicals yesterday. It was M's 3 year physical and K's 2 month. Aside from being there for what felt like FOREVER, and being in the hottest room in the whole practice, things went well!
We've been saying for a long time that M is taller than most of the other kids her age that we know. She is apparently 39" tall, which puts her in the 90th percentile (meaning she's bigger than 90% of other girls her age). Her Dr. said she's as tall as the average 4 year old! I guess that explains why we're already buying her 5T clothes. Her weight hasn't changed much, she's only gained about 1/2 lb since March. She dropped from the 90-95th percentile to somewhere between 50-80. She is healthy and doing great! No concerns.
K is squarely in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. She was 11lbs 2oz, and 23". Her Dr. could still hear her heart murmur, which means it hasn't gone away like I secretly hoped it would. K was her normal happy, smiley, easy-going self while we were there. The doctor even noticed. She asked if she is always that happy, I told her "Yes, as long as I don't eat any dairy!" Aside from the milk allergy/sensitivity, which she will hopefully outgrow, she is also healthy and doing great!
In other news, life is going well! M just finished her 2nd gymnastics class. This one wasn't as wonderful as the first, but I think that's mostly because there were 9 kids in this class (there were 2 in her first class!) and she didn't get as much one-on-one attention. I'm not sure we're going to do another session right now. We'll see.
Halloween is coming up! M is going as Doc McStuffins, and K was supposed to go as Lambie, who is one of Doc McStuffns' toys. Unfortunately the company I ordered her lamb costume from sent the wrong size. Now they're sold out of the newborn size, so I'm not sure what we're going to do.
It's supposed to be cold and yucky, so maybe she won't be going out anyway...
