Maddy sure loves her cousins!
It's Monday again!? How did that happen....
We had a super busy, super fun weekend! Friday night was uneventful, except for grocery shopping @ Meijer. I figured most of the greater-Lansing area would be there, but it actually wasn't bad! After that we picked up Qdoba for dinner, which sounded REALLY great, but turned out to be a bad idea. Oy. Lesson learned, I think!
Saturday morning we were up early to meet with a guy about an egress window for our basement. That meeting was a waste of time (he quoted us a price that was 3x's what we'd gotten from someone else!), and it kinda killed our morning. Saturday afternoon we had Easter dinner at my parents' house. It was really nice. Maddy got to see both of her Great Minnies, her Great-Aunt Laurie, her Minnie and Gandpa (what she calls my parents), and her Aunt Tara and Uncle Matt. The food was great, and I stuffed myself. Maddy got some really fun things. My favorite is the Barbie that Tara and Matt got Maddy. It's a Kitty Care Vet Doll. You should watch this video- (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCCOA5QiZT0). Maddy loves the whole thing (she's a fan of kitties). I love it because it's so funny. The "mom" cat has a hollow under-side, so you set her on the table and lift a lever, and she has "given birth to" a little kitty. Then you dump the kitty down a slide into a basket. What will they think of next? =)
Sunday morning we were up early to check out what Maddy got from the Easter Bunny. She did a quick Easter egg hunt around our house, and we got around and headed off for church with Joe's family. After church there was a big Easter egg hunt set up at Honey and Bumpa's (that's what Maddy calls Joe's parents). The kids all had so much fun! We had an early dinner over there, and hung out for a few hours. Maddy LOVES playing with her cousins, and didn't want to go home!
Joe's back was giving him trouble again yesterday, so when we got home he hung out with Maddy while I started laundry (he normally does all the laundry- I'm lucky I know!). After I started laundry, I decided to load/start the dishwasher, which led to me cleaning the fridge out, which led to taking the trash out, which led to cleaning the bathroom. Ugh. Then there was another load of laundry to do! By the time 8:00 came, I decided to hang out in the La-z-boy and eat some ice cream.
Hopefully this week goes quickly! (in 49 hours I'll be leaving for my Dr.'s appointment to see our peanut and find out what we're having!!!)
