Sister love!
February is ALMOST OVER! Woo hoo! I'm SO ready for Spring. We were so spoiled last winter that this winter has seemed so long. We've already had several "snow storms" and there's another one coming tomorrow! Blah. Maddy loves it though!
Katelyn had her 6 month check up on 2/14. She was 14lbs 10 oz (down to the 20th percentile) and 27" (somewhere around the 70th %). She basically gained 1.5 lbs and 2.5 inches in 2 months. The Dr. *thinks* her heart murmur is gone, but we'll still be following up with the cardiologist in April to confirm. I really hope she's right! Other than that, she's doing pretty well. I had to take her to urgent care on Friday- she had an ear infection. I'd been trying to let it clear up on it's own, but after 5+ days of very little sleep, we needed to do something about it. She's still not sleeping great, so I'm beginning to suspect her teeth are bothering her. As of now she doesn't have any teeth, hopefully soon!
Maddy had her last dance class last Thursday. She really enjoyed the class. I'm bummed that they aren't offering that class again this session. Instead of creative movement, they're doing "Hip Hop", with parental involvement. No thanks. ;-) She's so excited to start preschool in the fall. As of right now, we're still not 100% sure where she'll be going. I hope we can figure that out soon! In the meantime, she's growing and learning everyday! I can't believe how tall she is. I swear every time we turn around she's outgrowing her pants. I'm SO thankful for our friends who have passed down clothes to us.
We're hoping to make it back to Florida this spring to see our friends Kim and Chad, and their kids. Kim and I have been friends since 2nd grade, except for a few years in there where we lost touch. It's amazing how easy it was to go back to being friends again after those years, and it's also amazing how similar our lives are! =)
In addition to Florida, we're hoping to make a visit to Virginia this year to see my (Great) Uncle De & Aunt Fran, and cousin Cheryl. Maddy just loved seeing them when they were here visiting, she'll be THRILLED to spend more time with them.
I'm also looking into going back to school. At this point, I think I'm going to start at LCC. I can have my Associates in Business and Accounting in just SIX CLASSES! Woot! I can take all of the classes online, so I think I'll take them 2 at a time. That means that next May I should be done! WOOOOO HOOOOO!
So much to look forward to this year- and this isn't even all of it!
