It's been a while since I've had time to post! We're keeping busy this summer, that's for sure!
I'm now 34 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Time is flying by! So far (fingers crossed!) things are looking good with both the baby and me. I'm still having contractions, but not as often or as painful. I don't know if/when they'll check to see if I'm still dilating, but I'm happy she's still holding out in there! My next appointment is Wednesday. Next week I don't have an appointment, but then I start my weekly appointments! Yikes! We're getting so close to the end!
We made *some* progress this weekend. The computer room is close to ready to move all of the furniture out. We picked a paint color (and we won a contest and will get the room painted for free! Thanks Maxx Painting!), bought bedding and a rug, and have a twin bed frame all ready to go! Maddy's clothes are hanging in the closet/in the dresser, so it's getting there!
My goal for the next 2 weeks (in addition to Maddy's new room) is to get the bassinet stuff all washed/assembled, get the car seat all cleaned/installed, and get all of the newborn clothes washed/put away in the nursery. We need to buy a lot of the little things (like diaper cream, diapers, wipes, etc.), but we've been waiting for our completion coupons from Amazon, Target, and Babies R Us. We've gotten 2 of the 3, so I guess it's time to shop!
In other non-baby related news, Joe went up north fishing the weekend after the 4th. He goes every year with his friend Jason. They had a really good time. Maddy and I had a pretty low-key weekend while he was gone. I took her swimming at my Aunt Judy's, which she loved.
Last week we took her to the Eaton County Fair. She had a BLAST! She's definitely a daredevil. I don't know who she gets it from, but she will do anything for a thrill. She even rode the scrambler (by herself!!!). She rode everything she was big enough for, and loved it.
I took Maddy to redi-care yesterday. She has a double ear infection. The poor girl has had such a rough time with her ears. I hope she's feeling better soon!
We also got a "new" van about 2.5 weeks ago. It's a silver Uplander, very similar to our old one, but nicer. It has bigger seats in back, and a power rear passenger door. We got a great deal on it, so we were able to shave a year off our loan! Woo hoo!
